Dance Remix!

So I never thought I'd see the day that I'd release a dance remix, but alas that day is soon to arrive. I'm actually really stoked on it. And yes, I did my research and tested it in the Cube. It tested positive for inducing car dancing. Especially when paired with 20 shades of mood lighting. Here's the artwork above. It was designed by my good friend and creative genius, Katie Moore from Nashville, TN. You can check out more of her wonderful art here: http://thisnotthis.tumblr.com/ And stay tuned for the release of the single. It will be hitting iTunes soon!

Everyone's posting their Cube cruising playlists and being that music is pretty much my life I couldn't turn down the opportunity to share some of my favs with you. Hope you dig!

Spring goodness

So yesterday I had my first barbecue of the year - which was wonderful I might add. I also witnessed the first mosquito of the year - not wonderful. However, I quickly terminated said inesect's life and felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. This is probably one of my favourite times of the year - the sun is shining through the infant green leaves like pieces of vibrant stained glass and the promise of summer feels truer than ever. I can hardly wait to wash the Cube and take it for a nice long cruise with the windows down. Who's with me?

Just returned from a two week stint touring Vancouver Island. Had such a great time! So many great people on that Island. And then there's the fact that it's beautiful there. If you get a chance to explore the Island, don't pass it up.

Well, that's the latest in my life. Hope this finds you enjoying the beauty of Spring wherever you may be in the Great White North.

Western Canada Tour/San Diego/Olympics Recap

Hello my cube-loving friends! I figured it was time for a fat ol' update, since February was absolutely packed and there's a lot to talk about. First of all, my CD dropped in HMV, CD Plus and Sunrise Records across Canada on Feb. 2nd. To promote the CD release, we kicked off the Western Canada OneByOne Tour (I've posted a video below to give you a taste of what it's like touring half of Canada in the winter - what was I thinking?! : ) ). It was actually and truly a blast despite the cold and we met so many incredible people. Right after the tour I headed to Vancouver to take in a quick dose of Olympic spirit and play at one of the Victory Ceremonies at BC Place.

As some of you know, when I'm not playing my own music, I perform with Canadian Country Artist, Paul Brandt. Paul was the headliner for the "Alberta Night" Victory Ceremony (the night Maelle Ricker received her gold medal for snowboard cross!). That was such a fun show, for obvious reasons.

Western Canada "1x1 Tour" kicks off next week!

Hey all!

Hope this finds you well. I'm super stoked to announce that my album "Love & the Lack Thereof" hits store shelves (HMV, CD Plus and Sunrise Records, to name a few) next week, on Tuesday, February 2nd and I'll be doing an acoustic promo tour across Western Canada to support it.

Usually I play with a full 5-piece band, but for this tour we're stripping it down to just me on keys and my good friend, Dan Oldfield, on percussion. We're calling it the "One by One Tour" because A. We want to meet you and other music fans one at a time, and B. Because, well, the first song on the new album is called "One by One". Clever, I know.

I would totally love to meet you - my fellow cube owners - so please bring your friends and come out and hang. It will be guaranteed good times. Here is the list of dates. If you want more info on me you can check out my myspace page: http://myspace.com/gregsczebel

Free Music to ring in the new year

Hey friends! As the title suggests, I'm giving away a free download for the month of January. It's my new radio single that will be hitting airwaves this January to promote the upcoming release of my album, Love & the Lack Thereof (it drops in stores February 2). So here you go...download it, burn it, pass it around, wear it out and if you'd like to help a fellow cubist out, please request it at your local radio station! http://bit.ly/6uKI2T
