parking

I did a little experiment in regards to how much one might pay for parking in Toronto. Since I got my Cube, I've kept every single parking tag/ recipt, and parking ticket I've recieved in the past 6months. (reminder to self.. don't park in fron of fire hydrants.. even for 1/2hr)

My grand total on Jan 01, 2010 is 704.92$.... yow! thats approx 117$/month.

This is my first vehicle.. so who knows if this is average?

Ah,,, whateves.. the Cube's worth it!

You need to find free parking around the city. It's not easy, but you can find them here and there. Toronto is one of the most expensive cities in the world, behind Vancouver mind you... but we're still a costly place to live.

I know a few people who never pay for parking, they get tickets. But in the end they say it's cheaper to pay the ticket than for parking lots around the city. I just hold out, wait for 9pm, then park on the street. Or find people who don't mind you parking in their lot/driveway (ie: make lots and lots of friends), lol.

Cheers

that's a great experiment....you might want to consider a future in accounting!

i'm betting that only got you about 50 hours of parking a month based on the cost per hour in hogtown.

oh well, cost of being a busy city girl i guess ;-)

Yowza...

That's a lot of cheddar.
Glad you're seeing the sunny side (aka cube side).
