Portland Coffee

Iv been traveling down to Portland Oregon for the past 10 years, Portland is known for many things and one is coffee. There seems to be a locally owned coffee barista or roaster on every corner, unlike most city that are littered with Starbucks.

My friend Wille has been studying coffee for many years and roasting his own beans in house. He just opened his first barista called HEART.  If you ever make it to portland check out his shop.

CUBE'ING IN KAUAI

I just got back from a two week stint in Hanalei Bay on the island of Kauai. I was hoping to get there before the winter surf ended, however I was to late by two days. Its like a light switch up there, one day there is 10ft waves the next 1ft, so most of the time was spent down south island where the summer swells were starting to rise. The drive is about 40 minutes long and everyday on the drive down I would pass either a white or blue Cube, this is no surprise because there is only one main road going around the island and most cars being the same rental Mustang or Jeep.  I was really hoping to see a surf board rack on one of them.

For two weeks my diet consist of fresh coffee grown on the island, local fruit for lunch and fresh caught Tuna for dinner, then a glass of Kauai Rum for dessert.

Last Day'z of Powder

Well the season is coming to a end in BC, its been a long and difficult year for snowboard film making. With bad weather and the closures during the month of Feburary the sunny days were few and far between. However it wasn't all bad news, the olympics helped brining the community's together and showcasing BC as a whole, and the powder days we did get where deep.

Thursday April 15th - snow level on the mountains was still low, however the forecast was saying it will spike to over the peaks in our area. We decided to give it one last go in search of some Powder.
